Privacy notice
This site is run by Ann-Kathrin (“Kat”), who teaches German lessons online. This notice explains what we store about you and why.
What we store
- Your email address, so you can sign in and so we can send you lesson emails.
- Your name, if you give it to us.
- The country you select and your time zone, so prices and lesson times are correct.
- Your lessons, your lesson notes, homework and vocabulary.
What we never store
We never see or store your card details. When payments are switched on, they are handled entirely by Stripe. We also do not store your IP address, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Cookies
We use three small cookies and no others: one that keeps you signed in, one that remembers the country you picked, and one that remembers your time zone. None of them track you across other websites, which is why this site shows no cookie banner.
Visitor statistics
We count how many visitors come from each country each day. These counts are totals only. They are not linked to you, your device or your address.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of everything we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and its data. Write to the address below and we will act within 30 days.
Who else sees your data
Our database is hosted by Neon in Frankfurt, Germany. The site runs on Vercel. Emails are sent through Resend. Each of these only handles what it needs to do its job.
