A bit about Kat
I am from Germany and I have been living in Mexico for four years. I love to travel, to get used to other cultures and to meet new people, and I am usually happiest at the beach watching the sunset. My three pugs, Eggy, Lui and Lola, come along on most of the adventures.
I have been teaching German, English and Spanish for many years, including teaching English to Mexican children in a private school. I hold a teaching certificate, and I have given more than four thousand lessons online.
I like teaching German because it is a proper challenge, and because of the moment a student hears themselves say something they could not say last month. That is the whole job.

Questions
How do the lessons work?
We meet online, one to one. You get a link in your confirmation email and in your dashboard, and you join straight from your browser. No software to install.
Which language are the lessons in?
Whichever suits you. German is my mother tongue, and I also speak English and Spanish fluently, so I can explain things in any of the three. Most students start mostly in English or Spanish and move into more German as they get comfortable.
What level do I need to start?
Any level, including complete beginner. In your trial lesson we work out where you are and what you want to reach.
How long is a lesson?
You can book 25 minutes or 50 minutes. Many students start with 50 and switch to 25 when they want short, frequent practice.
What if I need to cancel?
You can cancel or move a lesson free of charge up to 24 hours before it starts. Inside 24 hours the lesson is counted as taken.
Which time zone are the times shown in?
Your own. The site detects your time zone and shows every slot in your local time. You can change it in your profile.
Do you teach exam preparation?
Yes: Goethe, telc and TestDaF, as well as German for work and for daily life.
